The pigs like to wander around in the woods and poke in the ground for food. Pigs have an excellent sense of smell and are able to locate wonderful treats like seeds, roots and truffles in the earth. Since they lack sweat glands, they need water and mud puddles to cool them off, although they tend to prefer water puddles. Surprising to many people, pigs are naturally very clean animals. When the sun is hot, they like to rest under shady trees.
Pigs live in family groups with mother and child. A pig develops a strong bond with her piglets. If there are multiple groups of pigs together, they are usually close relatives. Pigs are friendly, peaceful and also bright and funny animals, who are both curious and learn quickly.
