Granola

This is a healthy and filling breakfast with buckwheat, various nuts, sunflower seeds and fresh fruit.

Ingredients                                                Yield, 2-3 portions

2 cups buckwheat groats, soaked

1/4 cup almonds, soaked

1/4 cup sunflower seeds, soaked

1/4 cup walnuts, soaked

4-6 dates

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

dash salt

Topping: Fresh fruit, like apple, banana and berries.

Preparation

In the evening, soak the nuts and seeds in a bowl with water.

Soak the buckwheat groats in another bowl.

In the morning, rinse and dry the buckwheat groats well. 

Rinse and dry the nuts and seeds.

Place the buckwheat, almonds, sunflower seeds and walnuts in a 

food processor with S-blade and pulse briefly (just a few seconds.) 

Then, add the dates, cinnamon and salt and pulse briefly again.

To Serve

Serve the granola with almond milk and some fresh, seasonal fruit. 

*For a variation, replace the dates with 1/4 cup of raisins.
