Cream of Buckwheat

A delicious sweet and creamy porridge for a beautiful morning :-)

Ingredients                                                    Yield, 2 portions

2 cups raw buckwheat groats                   

3-4 ripe bananas

 

2 teaspoons of cinnamon and/or vanilla (optional)

Topping: Fruit and berries, like apple, banana, strawberry and blueberry. 

Preparation

Soak the buckwheat overnight.

In the morning, rinse and drain the groats well.*

Place the buckwheat, bananas and cinnamon and/or vanilla in a blender and blend until smooth. 

To Serve

This porridge tastes wonderful with pieces of fresh fruit and berries on top :-)

*By soaking, the buckwheat gets watery. For a creamy porridge, drain the groats well.

*Buckwheat is a healthy seed that is alkaline, easy to digest and free of gluten.
