Superfood Smoothie

This smoothie is delicious, rich and creamy, and full of nutrition for body and mind. It is a wonderful way to start the day or in place of lunch. In fact, the smoothie tastes delicious any time of the day!

Ingredients                                            Yields; 2 tall glasses                                        

2 ripe bananas

2 glasses water or apple juice

1 avocado (optional)

Superfood powder

2 tablespoon kamut or greens

2 tablespoon spirulina

2 tablespoon activated barley

2 tablespoon lecithin

Divide the bananas into smaller pieces and place in the blender. 

Add all the superfood powder, water or juice and blend until smooth and creamy. Add the avocado, if desired, and blend briefly again for about 30 seconds. 

It is best if consumed fresh made but it will last for up to 2 hours in the fridge. This smoothie also tastes great as ice cream.

Green Ice Cream 

Use the same ingredients as above, except reduce the water/juice to 1/3 - 1/2 cup of water.

Freeze the bananas in slices and allow them to melt 15 min before use (to protect your blender). Then, blend the bananas and super food until creamy and frosty. Serve with a spoon and enjoy!

Note

You can also add other superfoods you like to the bananas and switch the 

green powder to cacao or carob powder for a delicious chocolate smoothie!
